Plain-English terms for a free site. The one that really matters: every calculator here produces an estimate to guide your thinking — not a guarantee, a torque spec, or a substitute for a professional. Always verify before you spend money or turn a wrench.
Using the site
Tuning4U (tuning4u.info) is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. There's no account and no sign-up. By using the tools you accept these terms; if you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
Accuracy & the big disclaimer
The calculators use published, industry-standard formulas and are built with care, but they rely on the numbers you enter and on simplifying assumptions. Results are estimates for guidance only. They can differ from real-world outcomes because of tolerances, temperature, wear, measurement error and countless variables a formula can't see.
- Do not rely on a result as a torque figure, a safety limit, a fuelling map, or a clearance guarantee.
- Always cross-check against the manufacturer's specifications and, for anything safety-critical, a qualified professional.
- OBD-II code information is a lookup aid, not a diagnosis or repair authority.

Nothing on Tuning4U is professional, mechanical, engineering or financial advice, and using it doesn't create any such relationship. Decisions you make about your vehicle are your own responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tuning4U and its author accept no liability for any loss, damage, cost or injury arising from use of the site or reliance on its results. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and may change or go offline at any time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your content
If you submit a display name and score to a leaderboard, you confirm it's not offensive or infringing, and you grant permission to display it on the site. Entries that are abusive, impersonating or spammy may be removed. You can ask for your own entry to be removed at any time — see contact.
Acceptable use
Please don't attempt to disrupt the service, submit automated or fraudulent leaderboard scores, scrape at volumes that degrade the site for others, or misrepresent the tools as your own service. Rate limiting and abuse protection are in place.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text and code belong to Tuning4U. You're welcome to use the results for your own build, share tool links, and quote figures — just don't wholesale copy the pages or pass the site off as your own.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the site evolves; the date at the top shows the last revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.
