- Check-engine light on, sometimes with rough or uneven running.

Common causes of P0003
- A failing or contaminated sensor (MAF, MAP, oxygen or air-fuel sensor).
- Intake or vacuum leaks, or an exhaust leak near an upstream sensor.
- Wiring, connector, or fuel-delivery problems that skew the reading.
Useful checks before replacing parts
- Measure regulator control voltage, power feed, ground integrity, resistance, and current while checking for short-to-ground faults.
- Inspect connector terminals, harness rub points, corrosion, fuel pump or high-pressure pump wiring, and module driver command.
- Compare the low circuit event with commanded fuel pressure, actual pressure drop, engine load, and freeze-frame system voltage.
