Tune It

You're on the dyno. Drag the fuel bars right on the chart, hit the pull and chase peak power. Rich is safe but slow; lean is fast until it knocks — three knocks and the engine lets go. Beat your ghost, max the car, unlock the next one.

How to win

Every RPM column has a hidden sweet-spot fuelling. The dyno colours each bar after a pull:

ideal nailed it · rich safe, but down on power · lean faster, getting risky · knock detonation — back off.

Drag bars up for more fuel, down for less — you can paint across several bars in one swipe. The dashed grey curve is your ghost (your best run): beat it. Get within reach of the car's target to unlock the next, faster car — each one is less forgiving about knock than the last.

FAQ

Is this how real ECU tuning works?

It's a simplified take on the real idea: an engine makes best power at a particular air-fuel mixture, richening slightly for safety and cooling, and detonating if pushed too lean under load. Real tuning adds ignition timing, boost and knock control — but the fuel-vs-power-vs-knock trade-off here is the heart of it.
