Useful checks before replacing parts
- Compare scan-tool fuel level with gauge reading and actual fuel quantity if known.
- Inspect fuel-level sensor wiring, connector condition, sender ground, tank-module connector, and harness damage.
- Check for open circuits, short-to-voltage, poor grounds, or sender resistance outside the service-information range.
