Diagnostic boundary
A diagnostic trouble code reports that a monitored test failed. It does not prove one specific part is bad, and manufacturer logic can add vehicle-specific conditions.
Do not clear intermittent power-sense codes without a loaded voltage and connector check; they often return under vibration.
Useful checks before replacing parts
- Monitor relay command, output, and sense voltage while repeating heat, vibration, and cranking conditions from freeze-frame data.
- Inspect relay socket tension, fuse-panel corrosion, TCM connector fit, and wiring that may open under movement.
- Review communication dropouts, limp mode, or no-shift events that match the intermittent power relay feedback.
