Diagnostic boundary
A diagnostic trouble code reports that a monitored test failed. It does not prove one specific part is bad, and manufacturer logic can add vehicle-specific conditions.
Do not assume the solenoid is electrically failed; performance or stuck-off faults can come from fluid, valve-body, or hydraulic issues.

- Check fluid level, fluid contamination, valve-body sticking, solenoid operation, wiring, and pressure-control data.
