Diagnostic boundary
A diagnostic trouble code reports that a monitored test failed. It does not prove one specific part is bad, and manufacturer logic can add vehicle-specific conditions.
Do not replace hydraulic components until the solenoid D circuit is tested electrically.
Useful checks before replacing parts
- Check solenoid D power feed, control wire, internal harness, case connector, terminal tension, and fluid intrusion.
- Measure solenoid circuit resistance or current using service-information limits for the transmission.
- Inspect shared power feeds if other shift-solenoid electrical codes are stored at the same time.
